Koffee With Karan Returns for Ninth and Final Season

One last cup of Koffee, one final round of celebrity confessions. Karan Johar is bringing Koffee With Karan back for its ninth and final season, closing the chapter on one of India’s longest-running celebrity chat shows after 22 years.

The makers have released an emotional first glimpse in which Johar looks back on the show’s journey, from its debut in 2004 to its candid conversations, rapid-fire rounds and headline-making moments.

Calling the show an “extraordinary part” of his life, Johar said the final season is his way of “raising the mug one last time” with gratitude to the audience and everyone who shaped the show.

Johar also recalled telling his father in June 2004 that he wanted to host a celebrity talk show. His father passed away that same month, while the first episode was shot on August 16, 2004.

Over 161 episodes and eight seasons, the show has featured Bollywood stars, couples, friends and families, while generating its share of viral moments and controversies.

“This will be my very last season of Koffee With Karan,” Johar confirmed.

The Season 9 guest list has already sparked speculation, with names such as Ahaan Panday, Aneet Padda, Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna reportedly linked to the show. The official line-up will be revealed when the season premieres on October 14.
