Koraput Landslide Disrupts Train Services

Train operations in Odisha’s Koraput region have been affected after a landslide occurred between Maliguda and Chhattripur railway stations under East Coast Railway’s Rayagada division.
For passenger safety, the railway has cancelled and diverted several services. The 58502 Kirandul–Visakhapatnam Passenger and 18516 Kirandul–Visakhapatnam Express will remain cancelled on October 2 and 3, respectively. Their return services, 58501 Visakhapatnam–Kirandul Passenger and 18515 Visakhapatnam–Kirandul Express, have also been cancelled on the corresponding dates.

Meanwhile, the 18447 Bhubaneswar–Jagdalpur Express scheduled for October 1 and 2 will terminate at Koraput instead of Jagdalpur. The return 18448 Jagdalpur–Bhubaneswar Express on October 2 and 3 will start from Koraput. The Koraput–Jagdalpur section will therefore remain partially cancelled in both directions.
East Coast Railway has advised passengers to check the latest train status before travelling and expressed regret over the inconvenience caused by the landslide.
