Jaideep Ahlawat clarifies Akshaye Khanna replacement in ‘Drishyam 3’

Jaideep Ahlawat has clarified that he has not replaced Akshaye Khanna in Ajay Devgn’s upcoming film Drishyam: The Conclusion. At the trailer launch, Ahlawat said his character is completely new and has a different journey from Khanna’s character.

Akshaye Khanna played IG Tarun Ahlawat in Drishyam 2, but he is not part of the third installment. Ahlawat said one character’s journey ends while another begins, so comparing the two roles would not be appropriate.

The film also stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Prakash Raj, Rajat Kapoor and Ishita Dutta. Directed by Vikas Pathak, Drishyam: The Conclusion will release in theatres on October 2, 2026, on Gandhi Jayanti.
