Police nab four in brown sugar trafficking case in Talacher

Talacher: Colliery Police arrested four people allegedly carrying brown sugar to sell it in Talacher following a late night operation and intercepted a car.

As per sources, the accused were carrying the drugs from Baleshwar to Talacher.

Acting on a tip off about the transporting of illegal substance in a vehicle, police intercepted the vehicle under Ghantapada Railway Overbridge and conducted the search.

Following which, over 20 gram brown sugar was sizes and the four persons involved were arrested.

Further investigation is underway to know the source and the destination of brown sugar and other possible involved persons in the network.

The police will further investigate to collect details about their identities and further legal actions taken.
