Odisha CM Reviews Rath Yatra Preparations in Puri

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi reviewed the Rath Yatra preparations in Puri on Monday, ensuring all arrangements progress smoothly for the annual festival.
He chaired a detailed meeting at the Town Hall, where Deputy Chief Ministers Pravati Parida and K.V. Singh Deo, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, and Chief Secretary Anu Garg joined the discussion. Shree Jagannath Temple Chief Administrator Dr Arabinda Padhee and other senior officials also attended.
Majhi examined the readiness of roads, sanitation, crowd control, and emergency services. He directed officials to coordinate closely and complete all works before the festival begins. The Chief Minister stressed efficient management of pilgrim movement and uninterrupted power and water supply during the event.
Officials presented updates on infrastructure upgrades, traffic plans, and health facilities. The administration assured full preparedness to handle the massive turnout expected for the Rath Yatra.
Majhi appreciated the efforts of the temple administration and district authorities. He urged all departments to maintain discipline and devotion while serving devotees. The meeting concluded with a call for teamwork to uphold Odisha’s spiritual tradition and ensure a safe, successful Rath Yatra.
