Indian Idol 16 winner Jyotirmayee Nayak arrives in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Indian Idol 16 winner Jyotirmayee Nayak has arrived in home land Bhubaneswar with the national singing competition victory trophy on Monday.

She received a grand welcome at the airport upon her arrival from her fans as well as the well wishers and media persons. The state people have congratulated her for winning the trophy and making Odisha proud.

Nayak secured the top title after a long journey of hard work, weeks of consistent performances, determination and with her extraordinary musical talent along with the strength of her voice. She won the competition against fellow finalists Anshika Chonkar, Manraj Veer Singh, Myscmme Bosu, Suhail Sufi, and Tanishk Shukla.

In the grand finale, Jyotirmayi sang the song “Saiyaan O Saiyaan” and mesmerized the judges and the audience. Her impeccable voice, emotional presentation and confidence helped her win at every stage of the competition.

Tanishka Shukla from Jabalpur emerged as the first runner-up. The singing competition reality show was judged by renowned playback singer Shreya Ghoshal, renowned music director Vishal Dadlani and rapper-singer Badshah. The judges praised Jyotirmayi for her talent, dedication to music and excellence in the show.

For winning the title, Jyotirmayee received a cash prize of Rs 20 lakh along with the winner’s trophy. The success of Jyotirmayee has become an inspiration for the young talents and aspiring artists of Odisha.

Jyotirmayee, who is also an Alumina of KIIT university, also receives a warm welcome by the KIIT and KISS students at the airport. Special arrangements have been made by KIIT and KISS university to welcome her. She is set to travel to the KIIT campus within a bike rally from the airport.

Nayak said that all her achievements were due to the blessings of Lord Jagannath and she has faced faced multiple ups and downs during the journey. She said that it is essential to keep working hard and to never stop even after facing failures and losses, then only you will be rewarded for your hard work one day.

Several eminent figures including CM Mohan Majhi, Former CM and BJD president Naveen Patnaik have congratulated the Odia singer for becoming the winner of Indian Idol Season-16.

She added, “I am very grateful as CM Mohan Majhi had also congratulated me on my victory.”
