Koraput police foils cattle smuggling bid, 8 pickup vans seized, and 8 arrested

Koraput: The police has foiled a cattle smuggling bid and seized over eight pickup vans carrying over 60 buffaloes and cows and arrested eight persons in Koraput.

According to sources, the police intercepted the eight cattle-laden vehicles on the road and rescued more than 60 buffaloes and cows from the vehicles. They have also arrested the eight drivers of the vehicles.

Police informed that the cattle were being transported from Odisha to Adhra Pradesh.

The rescued buffaloes and cows will be shifted to a cow shelter, said Town Police station officer Satyananda Patra.
