Two-year-old dies after snakebite while asleep at home in Balasore

Sora: In a tragic incident, a two and a half-year-old baby boy died due to snakebite while he was asleep at his home on Tuesday. The tragic incident took place in Khiripada village under the Makhanapur panchayat in Khaira police limits in Odisha’s Balasore district.

According to sources, the family members of the toddler found a venomous snake on the bed while they were sleeping. Meanwhile, the child was found to be have been bitten by the snake and was in a critical condition. So, he was rushed to the Sora hospital immediately for treatment.

However, by the time they reached the hospital the child had lost his life as the doctor declared him brought dead.

The incident has cast a pearl of gloom in the village.
