iGOT Platform Crosses 1.70 Crore Users Under Mission Karmayogi

The iGOT digital learning platform, launched under the Centre’s Mission Karmayogi initiative, has surpassed 1.70 crore registered users, marking a significant step towards strengthening the skills and capabilities of government employees.

Launched in September 2020, Mission Karmayogi aims to build a modern, skilled and citizen-focused civil service by improving the professional competencies of government officials. The programme promotes a shift from a rule-based system to a role-based approach, ensuring that officials are equipped with the right skills for their responsibilities.

The iGOT platform currently offers more than 6,500 courses covering professional, functional and behavioural skills. These include over 200 courses on Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies to help officials adapt to the evolving digital landscape.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasised that the initiative seeks to make government employees more responsive to citizens’ needs and improve the quality of public services.

  1. Radha Chauhan, Chairperson of the Capacity Building Commission, said Mission Karmayogi was designed to support the timely and effective realisation of the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047 while ensuring high-quality service delivery to citizens.

Under the programme, Central Government employees and officers of the All India Services are required to complete prescribed annual courses on the iGOT platform. Their learning progress is also reflected in their Annual Performance Appraisal Reports.

The initiative is expected to enhance the professional capabilities of government personnel, improve administrative efficiency and make interactions between citizens and public authorities more effective.
