BJD Reshuffle: Chiranjib Biswal Named Vice President

Bhubaneswar: In a significant organizational overhaul, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Wednesday appointed senior leader Chiranjib Biswal as the Vice President of the party.

Along with Biswal’s elevation, Pushpendra Singh Deo and Ganeswar Behera have been named Senior General Secretaries, while Lambodar Nial, Alka Mohanty, Irani Ray, Sudhir Das, and Manoj Mishra have been appointed as General Secretaries.

In addition, Rajesh Nigam, Santosh Pattnayak, and Raju Gheebela have been assigned the roles of Secretaries of the party.

The appointments were confirmed through an official order issued from the BJD headquarters, Sankha Bhavan, and signed by Party President Naveen Patnaik. The new designations take immediate effect.

According to party insiders, the reshuffle reflects Naveen Patnaik’s strategy to balance senior experience with new energy, strengthening the party’s grassroots network while consolidating leadership ahead of future political challenges.
