₹30 Lakh Looted from SBI in Mayurbhanj; Two Injured

Bahalda: A group of armed robbers looted approximately ₹30 lakh from the State Bank of India (SBI) branch in Bahalda, Mayurbhanj district, on Thursday morning. Two bank employees sustained injuries while attempting to resist the robbery.
According to reports, five masked miscreants entered the bank after it opened for the day. While three of them stormed inside, the other two stood guard outside. Once inside, the robbers brandished firearms, threatening bank staff and customers before seizing the cash.

During the heist, the bank manager and another employee attempted to stop the robbers but were assaulted. The miscreants then fled on two motorcycles. Eyewitnesses reported that the robbers were communicating in Hindi.
Following the incident, Bahalda police rushed to the scene and launched an investigation. Senior officers, including the Rairangpur Additional SP and SDPO, have also reached the site to oversee the probe.
