ECoR GM Reviews Safety, Infrastructure Works in Sambalpur Section

Bhubaneswar: Parmeshwar Funkwal, General Manager of East Coast Railway (ECoR), on Friday conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Sambalpur–Jharsuguda Road section to review safety measures, traffic facilities, passenger amenities and ongoing infrastructure development works.

During the inspection, Funkwal assessed the status of various traffic facility projects, passenger amenities and infrastructure works at key stations along the route. He emphasized the need for maintaining safe and smooth train operations and directed railway officials to ensure all necessary safety precautions are in place.

The General Manager also reviewed the progress of several projects aimed at improving passenger convenience, including development of parking spaces, circulating areas and landscaping at stations. Special focus was laid on station redevelopment works being carried out under the Amrit Station Scheme, which seeks to enhance passenger experience across the railway network.

Funkwal stressed the importance of timely completion of these projects, highlighting their role in improving overall service quality for passengers.

Subash C. Chaudhary, Divisional Railway Manager of Sambalpur Division, along with other senior railway officials, was present during the inspection and participated in discussions related to project timelines and safety measures.
