Railways Augments Coaches In Key Express Trains To Manage Passenger Rush

Bhubaneswar: Indian Railways has decided to temporarily augment additional coaches in several important express trains to provide more comfortable travel facilities and manage the increased rush of passengers during the upcoming week.
According to railway officials, Train No. 12837 Howrah–Puri Superfast Express will be augmented with one additional Sleeper Class Coach from May 9 to May 15, 2026, to facilitate increased passenger movement between Howrah and Puri.

Similarly, Train No. 18045 Shalimar–Charlapalli East Coast Express will run with one additional AC 3-Tier Coach from May 9 to May 15, 2026.
In another move, Train No. 18063 Santragachi–Yelahanka AC Express will be augmented with one additional AC 3-Tier Coach on May 14, 2026.
Railway authorities said the temporary augmentation will provide additional berths for passengers travelling on these important routes and help accommodate the growing travel demand during the period.
