Odisha Vigilance Conducts Raids at 9 Locations Linked to ITDA Engineer Over Disproportionate Assets Case

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Saturday launched simultaneous searches at nine locations linked to Baikuntha Nath Behera, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), Baliguda in Kandhamal district, in connection with allegations of possessing disproportionate assets beyond known sources of income.
The coordinated operation is being carried out by teams comprising two Additional Superintendents of Police, five Deputy Superintendents of Police, six Inspectors, and other supporting staff, following search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance Court, Bhubaneswar.

Officials said the searches cover multiple residential and official premises spread across Bhubaneswar, Baripada, Dharmasala in Jajpur district, and Baliguda in Kandhamal district.
In Bhubaneswar, premises under search include a four-storey building at Niladri Vihar in Chandrasekharpur, a three-storey building at Kailash Vihar in Sailashree Vihar, and two double-storey buildings at HIG-146, Kanan Vihar Phase-1, Patia, and HIG-196, Chandrasekharpur.
Outside the capital city, searches are being conducted at a double-storey building on paternal land at Pandua near Dharmasala College in Jajpur district, as well as the residences of two relatives at Deula Sahi in Baripada town.
The Vigilance teams have also searched Behera’s office chamber at the ITDA office in Baliguda and his official government residence located nearby.
The raids are continuing, and officials said further details will be shared as the investigation progresses.
