Odisha Colleges to Add AI Training

Odisha will introduce Artificial Intelligence (AI) learning in undergraduate and postgraduate education as part of a new push to improve students’ digital and job-ready skills.
The Higher Education Department has signed three MoUs with CSR Box, Nandi Foundation, OKCL and NASSCOM to promote AI education, skill development, startups and entrepreneurship.

Under NASSCOM’s ‘AI Course for All’ programme, around 1.25 lakh students and teachers from Arts, Science and Commerce streams will receive online training in AI, digital literacy, design thinking and project management. Students from 107 higher educational institutions, including those in remote and aspirational districts, will also benefit.

Final-year female students will receive offline training in financial literacy, communication and critical thinking, while selected teachers will undergo specialised AI training.
New portals for academic performance assessment and question banks have also been launched.
