Odisha BJP Youth Wing Launches 1,800-km ‘Seva Sankalp’ Yatra

The Odisha unit of the BJP’s youth wing has launched a 25-day ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, featuring an 1,800-km journey from Varanasi to Vadnagar in Gujarat to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida flagged off the initiative, in which 30 young participants from different districts of Odisha will travel through the country and study the changes and development witnessed over the past 25 years.

Speaking at the launch, Parida said the journey would give the participants an opportunity to directly observe the transformation in Gujarat and other parts of the country during Modi’s tenure as Gujarat chief minister and later as prime minister.
She said the experience would inspire the youth to return with a stronger resolve to contribute towards building a developed Odisha and a developed India.
The yatra, led by Odisha BJP Yuva Morcha general secretary Soumya Ranjan Nayak, will begin from Varanasi and conclude at Vadnagar, Modi’s native town in Gujarat’s Mehsana district.

Meanwhile, Yuva Morcha state president Abhilash Panda and his team had travelled from Bhubaneswar to Varanasi on Tuesday after offering prayers at the Lingaraj Temple.
Panda said the campaign would revolve around three key themes—water, people and service. The programme will also include cultural exchanges as the participants travel through different parts of the country.
