Liquor worth Rs 4 Lakh Seized in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar (Adarsh Rout): The Commissionerate police seized huge amount of foreign as well as locally made liquor by busting a liquor den in Laxmisagar area last night. Acting upon a tip-off on the liquor business which was running discreetly inside two houses near Station Bazaar, a joint team of the Special Squad of the Commissionerate Police and the Laxmisagar Police raided those.

During the raid, the police seized 617 bottles of foreign liquor and Aska 40. However, the sellers managed to flee from the spot ahead of the raid.

“The seized liquor would cost around Rs 4 lakh. An investigation is underway into the case and the absconding accused would be nabbed soon,” said police.
