Heatwave conditions: Class time for school students across Balasore district revised

Balasore: In view of the increasing heatwave and humid conditions in the district and based on the concerns regarding the safety and health of the students, the Balasore district administration has revised the class time of all schools in the district.

As per the announcement made by the District Collector, class time of all educational institutions (primary, secondary and higher secondary), government/aided/private (including KV/JNV/OAVs), in the district have been revised and will be held between 6.30 AM and 10.30 AM.

This will be effective from today until further orders. The weather conditions will be reviewed from time to time and fresh orders will be issued as and when required, informed the district collector’s office.

Enrollment and mid-day meal in schools will continue as normal during the MDM time frame.

However, the timings of examinations and BLO/SIR work to be done by teachers will remain unchanged and will continue with all precautionary measures as per the previously decided schedule.
