Malkangiri: Flight services lsoon from Malkangiri. Flight services likely to commence soon from Malkangiri of Odisha. The district’s long-awaited dream of air connectivity is set to be fulfilled soon.  This has been expected as the trial run will reportedly be conducted at the airport from the July 22.

As per reports, for this trial run, departmental officials inspected the Malkangiri Airport today.

Assistant Director of the Security Department Manoj Das and Assistant Director of Aero Safeguard Neeraj Nayak arrived in Malkangiri from Bhubaneswar. They first inspected the Malkangiri airport and reviewed the situation there.

Later, they held discussions with the Collector, SP, Fire Officer, CDMO, Superintending Engineer of the Works Department and other officials. The meeting focused on the success of the trial run and the surrounding arrangements.

Tomorrow morning, the airport will be inspected again and final preparations will be completed. A rehearsal will also be carried out after checking all security arrangements.

Malkangiri Airport Consultant Ashok Rout will arrive on July 21 to inspect the airport. According to Malkangiri ADM Vedabara Pradhan, all preparations will be completed for the trial run by 22 July.
