BJP Announces Nitin Nabin’s New National Team

The BJP has announced a new national team under party president Nitin Nabin, bringing several prominent leaders back into key organisational roles.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal has been appointed as the party’s national treasurer. Former Union Minister Smriti Irani and former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb have been named national general secretaries.

Former BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav has returned as a national vice-president. B.L. Santosh will continue as the national general secretary (organisation).

The party has also removed Amit Malviya from his role as head of the BJP IT Cell. The IT Cell has been replaced by a new Social Media Department, headed by Deepak Mhaske of Chhattisgarh.

The new team includes several experienced leaders, including Vasundhara Raje, Baijayant Panda and Tirath Singh Rawat among the national vice-presidents. Vinod Tawde and Sunil Bansal will continue as national general secretaries.

The BJP has also appointed Shiv Prakash and Saudhan Singh as national joint general secretaries (organisation).

Former AAP strategist Sandeep Pathak and former Congress leader Anil Antony have been included among the national secretaries. Women leaders, including Phangnon Konyak, Sangeeta Yadav and Kavita Patidar, have also been given key organisational responsibilities.

 

In the BJP’s frontal organisations, Hemang Joshi has replaced Tejasvi Surya as Yuva Morcha chief. Roop Kumari Choudhary will head the Mahila Morcha, while Amarpal Maurya has been appointed OBC Morcha chief. Kunwar Basit Ali will lead the Minority Morcha.

Party sources said the new team was shaped after consultations between the BJP leadership and the RSS, with an emphasis on creating a younger and more representative organisation.
