Twisha Sharma Death Case: AIIMS Board confirms suicidal hanging

AIIMS medical board has concluded that former actor-model Twisha Sharma died by suicidal hanging. The board submitted its final forensic opinion to the CBI in a sealed cover after conducting a second postmortem ordered by the court.

The CBI has now filed a chargesheet before a special court in Bhopal against Twisha’s husband, Samarth Singh, and mother-in-law, Giribala Singh. The agency has accused them of subjecting Twisha to alleged mental torture during their six-month marriage.

Twisha, 31, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her marital home in Bhopal in May. The chargesheet, running 31 pages with hundreds of pages of annexures, details the CBI’s allegations of psychological harassment against the two accused.
