Apple’s Camera-Equipped AirPods May Recognise Books and Objects

Apple is reportedly working on a new generation of AirPods featuring built-in cameras and its Visual Intelligence technology.

According to leaks, the cameras could capture information about objects and surroundings and send it to Apple’s Visual Intelligence system. Users may then be able to use Siri to get real-time information about things they see.

This could allow the AirPods to identify objects, recognise books and provide information about places or items around the user. If launched, the technology could transform AirPods from simple audio devices into smart assistants capable of helping users understand their surroundings.
