Miscreants Loot Jewellery From Wedding Venue

Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, miscreants recently looted cash money as well as gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 12 lakh from a wedding venue in the capital city of Odisha posing as wedding guests. The father of the bride lodged a complaint in this regard at the Police Station on Monday.

As per reports, a high-class wedding celebration was going on at a star private hotel of the capital city yesterday. A few miscreants allegedly reached the wedding venue posing as barati. Later, it was found that they took away Rs 2 lakh cash money, gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 12 lakh from the mandap, the brides’s father mentioned in a police complaint.

They managed to secretly loot the ornaments and cash when the guests were busy taking photo with the bride. While the bride and others were busy taking photos, the two robbers looted the bag containing the money and ornaments. The bride’s father, Saroj Mishra, has filed a Police complaint at the Maitri Vihar police station in this regard. Investigation of the case is underway. The police are investigating the matter.
