Republic Day Celebrated Across Odisha with Gaiety
Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): The celebration of the 72nd Republic Day across Odisha observed with gaiety. Odisha Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal hoisted national flag at the state-level Republic Day celebrations at Mahatma Gandhi Marg in the State capital and took salute of the parade. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik graced the occasion as the guest of honour.
A total 14 contingents of CRPF, RPF, ODRAF, OISF, Odisha Fire Service, SOG etc. were commanded by 25-year-old S. Susree, Kesinga SDPO, in the parade.
Students and NCC cadets were not allowed to participate in the parade this year. Only police contingents took part in the parade. Limited number of guests, including some Covid warriors, were invited to the event. Congregation of people at the parade site was also prohibited due to the COVID-19 situation.
