Students participate in programmes held to mark ‘Swachhata Pakhwada’ at RSP

Surjit kumar Dhal, Rurkela, March 24: A large number of students of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) run schools joined enthusiastically in various programmes organized to mark the observance ofSwachhata Pakhwada at RSP.

In Ispat English Medium School (IEMS), Sector-20, Ispat English Medium School (IEMS), Sector-22 and Ispat English Medium School (IEMS), Junior Section, Sector-18 the students took swachhata pledge on 20th March.

Various competitions were also organized in all the schools. The theme for the painting competition held for the senior students was ‘Clean and Green Rourkela’ while the junior students were given the theme ‘My School clean & green’.

Around 120 students took part in the painting competitions. The students also took a keen interest in the quiz competitions organized at IEMS, Sector-20 and IEMS, Sector-22 which witnessed participation of more than 100 students.

           Notably, RSP has joined the rest of the SAIL units to observe Swachhata Pakhwada from March 16 to March 31.

A host of activities are being carried out by the Steel Plant during the observance of the fortnight.
