Kendrapara: Health Department Raids Medicine Warehouse, Drugs Worth Over ₹10 Lakh Seized; One Arrested

The Odisha Health Department conducted a raid at a medicine wholesaler’s warehouse in Sunailo village of Kendrapara district, seizing medicines worth more than ₹10 lakh and arresting one person.

The raid was carried out by officials from the Cuttack Sadar Circle Assistant Drug Controller’s office following allegations that intoxicating medicines and related medical equipment were being sold without a valid licence.

Acting on the complaint, the Drug Control team conducted a surprise inspection at the warehouse and seized intoxicating medicines reportedly valued at around ₹10 lakh.

One person has been arrested in connection with the case, and further investigation is underway.
