NTA Announces UGC-NET June 2026 Results; Over 4,000 Candidates Qualify for JRF

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results of the UGC National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) June 2026 examination for 84 subjects. More than 4,000 candidates have qualified for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

The results come after the NTA ordered fresh examinations for candidates who appeared for the English, Commerce and Sociology papers. An expert committee had identified several issues in the question papers, including factual, typographical, translation and language-related errors.

The NTA had released the UGC-NET provisional answer key on August 16, almost two months after the examination. On the same day, the agency issued a special notice regarding the three affected subjects and later announced that fresh examinations would be held in September.

The re-examinations for English, Commerce and Sociology are scheduled to take place on September 9 and 10. Candidates appearing for the fresh tests will not have to pay any additional examination fee.
