Odisha Covers 70% Enumeration Forms in Special Voter List Revision Drive

Bhubaneswar: Odisha has made significant progress in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll, with around 70 per cent of enumeration forms distributed across the state so far, officials said on Sunday.

The statewide exercise, conducted under the direction of the Election Commission, aims to update, verify and make the voter list more accurate and error-free across all constituencies.

According to official data, more than 2 crore voters have already been covered within the first nine days of the campaign. In total, the exercise has reached 2,31,77,084 electors, reflecting the pace of implementation by field-level officials.

The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer is closely monitoring the process, while Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are carrying out door-to-door distribution and collection of enumeration forms. Officials said coordinated field efforts have helped accelerate the revision drive.

Authorities have urged eligible voters who have not yet submitted their forms to do so at the earliest. They warned that failure to submit the enumeration forms within the stipulated deadline may result in deletion of names from the electoral roll.

To ease participation, the Election Commission has also enabled online submission of forms, allowing voters to complete the process without visiting BLOs in person.

Citizens have been advised to contact their respective BLOs and ensure that duly filled forms with correct details are submitted for inclusion in the revised electoral roll.

For assistance related to voter registration, corrections, or other electoral services, the public can contact the Election Commission’s toll-free helpline number 1950.

Officials said special arrangements have been made to ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the exercise. The administration has set a target of achieving 100 per cent coverage in the coming days with public cooperation.
