2nd Coordination Committee Meeting Reviews Rath Yatra 2026 Preparations in Puri

Puri: Preparations for the world-famous Rath Yatra 2026 gathered momentum as the second Coordination Committee Meeting was held at Puri Town Hall on Tuesday.
The meeting was chaired by Odisha’s Minister for Law, Works and Excise and focused on ensuring the smooth conduct of the annual festival, which attracts lakhs of devotees from across the country and abroad.

Key discussions centred on strengthening security arrangements, effective crowd management, and comprehensive traffic planning to facilitate the safe movement of pilgrims during the grand event. Officials also reviewed ongoing preparations and assessed the level of coordination among various departments involved in the festival’s organisation.
Emphasis was laid on enhancing inter-departmental cooperation to ensure seamless execution of all arrangements ahead of the Rath Yatra.

The Central Range Police reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order and providing all necessary support for the successful conduct of the festival, ensuring the safety and convenience of devotees visiting Puri to seek the blessings of Mahaprabhu Shree Jagannath.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from various departments and agencies associated with the preparations for Rath Yatra 2026.
