Vigilance Raids OSCSC Junior Accountant Over Disproportionate Assets

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Monday launched simultaneous searches at five locations connected to Rabindra Kumar Barik, a Junior Accountant in the office of the District Manager, Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation (OSCSC) Ltd, Sundargarh, over allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

According to an official release, the searches are being carried out at a residential triple-storey building at Gopalgaon in Balasore, a triple-storey market complex and gym at the same locality, a Kalyan Mandap in Balasore, his office premises at Sundargarh, and a rented residential house in Sundargarh.

The operation is being conducted by multiple vigilance teams led by three Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) and six Inspectors. The searches are being carried out on the basis of warrants issued by the Special Vigilance Judge, Balasore.
