Usha Padhee Becomes 1st Woman DG of BCAS

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): Odisha cadre IAS officer Usha Padhee has become the first woman to be appointed as the Director General of Bureau of Civil Aviation Security.

Rakesh Asthana, who was earlier serving as Bureau of Civil Aviation Security’s DG, was recently posted as the DG of BSF.

IAS Usha, a 1996-batch IAS officer, was sent on Central Deputation on July 17, 2015. Her Central Deputation tenure is scheduled to end on July 16, 2022.
