Tourist trip turns tragic: One killed, four injured as car plunges 300ft deep

Koraput: A fun family picnic to the Talamiting Waterfall tourist site ended in a fatal accident as a car fell about 300 ft into a gorge, claiming one life and leaving four others wounded in Odisha’s Koraput district.
This tragic incident occurred at Lachhamani Ghat under Kakiriguma police limits.
According to reports, the victim, Dillip Bisoi of Lula village under Dasamantpur block, was heading to the tourist place with his family when the car skidded off the road.
The accident took place when the vehicle reached the Lachhamani Ghat.
Before they could even reach their destination, the driver of the car lost control of the wheels, and the car plunged into the gorge, nearly 300 ft deep.
Alert local residents of the Lachhamani village rushed to the scene, rescued the five occupants, and rushed them to the Kakiriguma Community Health Centre.
Later, they were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Koraput for further medical treatment.
On receiving information, police reached the spot and seized the car.
