Man electrocuted to death in Khordha while changing bulb

Tangi: A 38-year-old man succumbed to death after he received an electric shock while trying to change the bulb in his house located in Odisha’s Khordha district.

The deceased has been identified as Alok Kumar Nayak of Jaripada village of Tangi police station limits.

As per reports, the incident occurred Tuesday night when Alok was engaged in replacing some faulty wires to install a bulb in his residence.

A sudden short circuit while doing the wiring work apparently led to him being electrocuted.

Family members and villagers rushed him to Basanta Manjari Medical at Chandpur, but the doctors there pronounced him brought dead.

On getting information, Tangi Police rushed to the site, seized the body and initiated an inquiry.
