Sudarsan Patnaik Creates Sand Art on Puri Beach to Mark Sabitri Brata

Bhubaneswar: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Patnaik once again captivated devotees and tourists with a stunning sand sculpture on the beach in Puri to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Sabitri Brata.
The intricate artwork, dedicated to married women observing the sacred fast for the long life and well-being of their husbands, featured traditional Odia motifs along with depictions of Savitri and Satyavan, sacred trees, floral designs, and symbols of devotion. Through the sculpture, Patnaik beautifully portrayed the themes of faith, love, and marital harmony associated with the festival.
Thousands of married women across Odisha observed Sabitri Brata with fasting and prayers, seeking blessings for the prosperity and happiness of their families. Patnaik’s sand art stood as a heartfelt tribute to their devotion and cultural traditions.
Sharing images of the artwork on social media platform X, the celebrated artist wrote, “On this auspicious day, may your faith and devotion be rewarded with prosperity and joy. #SabitriBrata wishes.”
Known globally for his sand sculptures highlighting social, cultural, and spiritual themes, Patnaik once again showcased Odisha’s rich cultural heritage through his artistic brilliance.
