Sensex, Nifty Trade Higher in Afternoon Session

Domestic stock markets remained in positive territory during Monday’s afternoon trade, with both benchmark indices registering gains.

The BSE Sensex climbed 190 points to reach 73,314, while the NSE Nifty advanced 67 points to 22,667, according to the latest available market data.

Broader market indices also witnessed gains. The Nifty Midcap 100 rose 0.6 per cent, while the Nifty Smallcap 100 increased by 0.8 per cent.

Among sectoral indices, Services, Healthcare and Pharma stocks led the gains. Meanwhile, Banking, Insurance and Consumer Durables shares faced selling pressure, limiting the overall market advance.
