Notorious criminal injured in police encounter

Berhampur,dec 25:

A dreaded criminal Anant Kumar Macchua alias Mani injured on his right leg during an encounter with police near Gudidhepa in Khallikote of Ganjam district.

Macchua was admitted to a hospital in Khallikote and later shifted to MKCG Medical College & Hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment. The criminal belongs to be Ranpur area of Nayagarh.

Police seized 1 pistol, 3 live bullets and a bike from Macchua’s possession.more than ten criminal cases are pending against Machhua, who hails from Madhupur village under Ranpur police limits in Nayagarh, at various police stations in Khordha, Nayagarh and Ganjam districts
