Naveen Patnaik Congratulates DRDO on Successful Cruise Missile Test in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Former Odisha Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik has congratulated the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on the successful flight test of the indigenously developed Long Range Land Attack Cruise Missile (LRLACM).
In a post on X, Patnaik praised the achievement and extended his congratulations to the DRDO for successfully conducting the missile test from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island off the Odisha coast.

The flight test was carried out on Monday and successfully met all mission objectives, according to the Ministry of Defence. The missile’s performance was monitored through a range of tracking and observation systems deployed by the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur, which confirmed its successful operation throughout the mission.
The LRLACM is a fully indigenous missile system developed by various DRDO laboratories in collaboration with Indian industry partners. The successful trial marks another significant step in India’s efforts to strengthen its indigenous defence capabilities and achieve greater self-reliance in the strategic sector.
