Nationwide Cleanliness Drive Under Swachhata Hi Seva 2026

A nationwide cleanliness campaign, “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath,” is being held under the Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 initiative to promote sanitation, hygiene and responsible waste disposal. The campaign, which began on September 17, will continue until October 17 under the theme “Swachhata Mein Sahbhag, Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat.”
Union Ministers, chief ministers and senior officials participated in cleanliness and Shramdaan activities across the country. In New Delhi, Jal Shakti Minister C R Paatil joined a drive at Kalindi Kunj Ghat and stressed the importance of keeping rivers free from waste. Kiren Rijiju, G. Kishan Reddy, Pralhad Joshi and Ram Mohan Naidu also took part in programmes at various locations.
The ministers highlighted that cleanliness should become a regular habit and a shared civic responsibility. Ram Mohan Naidu said cleanliness must be integrated into everyday life and contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
