Bhubaneswar: Religious fervour gripped Odisha on Maha Navami as thousands of devotees visited decorated puja pandals and temples to offer prayers to Goddess Durga.

Elaborate rituals, havans and traditional ceremonies were performed at major pandals in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Puri. Meanwhile, prominent shrines, including Maa Biraja Temple in Jajpur and Maa Mangala Temple in Kakatpur, observed rituals according to their traditional temple calendars.

In Cuttack, the celebrations were marked by the grandeur of Chandi Medhas, with prominent puja mandaps such as Sheikh Bazaar, Choudhary Bazaar and Ranihat showcasing intricate silver filigree craftsmanship and elaborate decorations.
