Khordha Police Launches Citizen‑Friendly “Police Mitra” Platform to Strengthen Community Policing

Khordha:  Police launched the “Khordha Police Mitra” initiative today, unveiling its dedicated logo and citizen‑assistance platform to enhance police‑public partnership and promote community‑oriented policing.

The initiative provides instant access to essential services, including complaint registration, emergency assistance, mobile theft reporting, senior citizen support, police station location services, and feedback mechanisms. Citizens can use QR‑based access and WhatsApp support to connect with police services quickly.

Superintendent of Police Vivekananda Sharma, IPS, emphasised the importance of active public participation in maintaining peace, preventing crime, and ensuring grievance redressal. He encouraged citizens to join the initiative and work with the police to build a safer society.

The newly unveiled logo symbolises unity, trust, safety, responsiveness, and collaboration between police and the community. Officials said the platform reflects Khordha Police’s commitment to transparent, accessible, and people‑centric policing.

The launch event took place at the SP Office in Khordha in the presence of IG of Police, Central Range, Dr Satyajit Naik, IPS, senior officers, public representatives, students, media personnel, and community members.
