Health Minister Invites OMSA for Talks to End Statewide Strike

In a fresh effort to resolve the ongoing doctors’ strike, Odisha Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling has invited the Odisha Medical Services Association (OMSA) for discussions on their demands.
The Health & Family Welfare Department issued an official communication on July 3, directing OMSA State President Dr Kishore Chandra Mishra and General Secretary Dr Sanjib Kumar Pradhan to attend the meeting scheduled for 11:30 AM tomorrow at the Minister’s office.
The letter, signed by the Additional Secretary to Government, urged OMSA representatives to participate in the talks and help restore normal healthcare services across the state.
The meeting aims to address issues raised by OMSA, which launched an indefinite strike earlier this week demanding fulfilment of its 10-point charter. The strike has disrupted medical services in several districts, prompting urgent intervention from the state government.
