ECoR General Manager Reviews Passenger Facilities, Safety Measures at Khurda Road Station

Bhubaneswar: East Coast Railway (ECoR) General Manager Parmeshwar Funkwal on Saturday conducted a detailed inspection of Khurda Road Railway Station to assess passenger amenities, safety arrangements, cleanliness and overall service quality.

During the visit, Funkwal inspected key areas of the station, including booking counters, passenger waiting halls, circulating areas, foot overbridges, platforms and catering units. He reviewed the facilities available to passengers and assessed the quality of services being provided at one of the region’s busiest railway stations.

The General Manager examined safety and crowd management arrangements, station maintenance and cleanliness standards. He also interacted with passengers and staff at catering stalls to gather feedback on services and identify areas requiring improvement.

Emphasising the importance of passenger comfort and satisfaction, Funkwal directed railway officials to maintain high standards of hygiene and ensure prompt redressal of passenger grievances. He stressed the need for continuous monitoring of safety measures and passenger facilities to provide a safe, efficient and comfortable travel experience.

Highlighting the Railways’ commitment to passenger-centric development, the General Manager urged officials to focus on service excellence and the effective implementation of improvement initiatives.

Divisional Railway Manager of Khurda Road Division, D. Sunil, accompanied the General Manager during the inspection and reviewed the progress of various developmental and operational projects being undertaken at the station.
