Johnny Depp returns as Scrooge in fresh take on ‘a christmas carol’

Mumbai: In an upcoming, dark and imaginative adaptation of Charles Dickens’s iconic “A Christmas Carol,” Hollywood titan Johnny Depp will embody the infamous Ebenezer Scrooge.

The first trailer of fantasy film Ebenezer has now been released and it gives us first glimpse of the legendary miser – brought to life by the iconic Depp.

Instead of giving the film a more typical makeover with happy singalongs and Christmas cheer; the eerie trailer teases that this will likely be a darker and far more chilling version of events as the iconic phrase,”

“The name you know, the story you don’t,” rings true during the ghostly events as Ebenezer is visited by three spectral messengers urging him to examine past decisions and turn a new leaf.

With the help of talented director Ti West and an all-star line up of, Rupert Grint, Ian McKellen, Daisy Ridley, Sam Claflin, Andrea Riseborough and Johnny Depp– this marks a big comeback for an actor in Hollywood blockbusters.

Ebenezer is expected to be released in theatres on the 13th of November and the trailer has certainly stirred up some heat fans and we, can not wait.
