CMC Imposes Fresh Guidelines for Marriage Ceremony

Cuttack (Reporters Today Bureau): In view of the increasing rate of COVID-19 in the State, authorities in Cuttack city issued new guidelines for the areas under Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) in order to prevent the spread of infection.

State Revenue & Disaster Management Department modified the COVID guidelines issued on March 31, 2021, the CMC came up with modified order that will be put into action with effect from April 6, 2021, till further orders

The CMC has strictly prohibited the following kinds of functions till further orders:

A. Events and gatherings related to Promotional Activities/Conferences/Conclaves etc

B. Centenary/ Golden Jubilee/Silver Jubilee etc celebrations of institutions

C. Annual Events/Annual Functions of Educational and other institutions etc

As per the order, the host will have to obtain specific permission from the CMC for other kinds of social gatherings. The permission will be given in view of the requirement of the host and prevailing pandemic situation. The number of maximum participants will be limited to only 100 persons.
