CM Majhi Mourns Loss of Lives in Bilaspur Train Accident

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday expressed deep grief over the tragic train accident near Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, which claimed several lives and left many others injured.

In a post on social media platform X, Majhi wrote, “Deeply saddened by the tragic train accident near Bilaspur resulting in the loss of several precious lives and injuries to many. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families in this hour of grief. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured and strength to the families affected by this unfortunate incident.”

The Chief Minister extended his condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the swift recovery of those injured in the mishap.

Earlier in the evening, at least six people were reported dead after a collision between the Korba Passenger train and a goods train in Bilaspur district. Rescue operations are underway, with railway and district authorities engaged in relief and restoration efforts at the accident site.
