CHSE Directs Schools to Nominate Students for Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2026

The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, wants every higher secondary school in the state to nominate outstanding students for the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) 2026. This follows instructions from the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India. The council sent an official notification, making it clear that schools need to submit nominations through the central awards by July 31, 2026.

The PMRBP is a national honor recognizing kids under 18 who really stand out. The award looks for exceptional achievements in six categories: Bravery, Social Service, Environment, Sports, Art & Culture, and Science & Technology. CHSE wants every school to make sure teachers and students know about the award so no deserving student is left out.

There’s also an important push for diversity and inclusion. The directive tells schools to look closely for deserving nominees among girls, students from economically weaker backgrounds, those from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Divyang (children with disabilities). The idea is straightforward to uncover talent everywhere and recognize young achievers from all backgrounds. In doing so, it creates a stronger culture of excellence, dedication, and social commitment among young people across India.
