Baleswar Legislator Madan Mohan Dutta Dies at 61

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): The Member of Legislative Assembly from Baleswar Sadar and Saffron party leader Madan Mohan Dutta passed away at a private hospital in the capital today. He was 61.

The assembly member was undergoing treatment at the hospital and died of  cardiac arrest . He was ill for the last few months and was being treated for liver-related ailments, sources added. He is survived by his wife, a son, and a daughter. Madan had successfully contested the 2019 Assembly polls from the constituency as a BJP candidate.

Leaders, including Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, cutting across party lines expressed grief over the sad demise of the legislator.
