Woman dies in wild elephant attack in Angul

Athmallik: A 36-year-old woman died in a wild elephant attack at Limbadihi village under Athmallik police station limits in Odisha’s Angul district late on Monday night.
The deceased has been identified as Nalini Sahu.
As per reports, the woman went behind her house to attend nature’s call, when the tusker suddenly attacked her and trampled her to death.
After getting information forest officials reached the spot and seized the body.
The incident has led to panic among the villagers who fear movement of elephants in the area regularly.
Further investigation is underway.
