Mamita Case: Dead Body Found

Bhawanipatna (Reporters Today Bureau): In a major development in the female teacher  missing case, a body was found buried at an under-construction stadium in Mahaling in Kalahandi district, today. Till last reports came in, the identity of the deceased was yet to be established. Suspecting that Mamita was murdered and buried at the spot, an excavator was engaged by police for digging purpose.

The family members of Mamita were present at the site during the recovery of the body. It will be sent to laboratory for DNA test, police sources said.

Mamita Meher (24) of Jharni village under Turekela block of Odisha’s Balangir district was working as a teacher at the Sunshine English Medium School at Mahaling in Kalahandi district. Mamita also served as warden of the girls’ hostel of the school. She went missing on October 8.
