Odisha Reports 2806 New COVID-19 Cases, 61 More Deaths

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): As many as 2806 fresh COVID-19 cases registered in the state in the last 24 hours and added 61 more fatalities due to the deadly virus to its toll.
Khordha district keeps on being in the top spot with 590 single-day COVID cases followed by Cuttack district with 441 cases; Jajpur district reported 252 fresh cases in a single day.
Out Of new infections, 1613 were reported from different quarantine centers and 1193 were the local contacts
With this, the COVID tally surged to 9,35,136 with 27,429 active cases in Odisha so far.

Meanwhile, 61 more fatalities were reported from 17 districts after due completion of the audit process on COVID deaths, State Health and Family Welfare Department informed today.
While Khordha district recorded the maximum of 11 daily COVID deaths, 6 each died in Bargarh, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, and Puri districts. Five each succumbed to the deadly virus in Sambalpur and Sundargarh districts, 4 in Keonjhar district, 2 each in Cuttack, Dhenkanal, and Nayagarh districts, and 1 each in Boudh, Gajapati, Jharsuguda, Kendrapara, Nuapada, and Rayagada districts.
With this, the toll mounted to4,476 so far in Odisha.
